`3 weird things about me…that i might have just noticed…

  1.  I find thunder and lightening along with pouring rain very soothing and calming. During this time, I also like to go outside in my rubber boots sometimes with a raincoat, sometimes without and just be soaked. It’s almost…refreshing. I also very much enjoy watching all the rain go down the drains on the sidewalk… and the bounce that raindrops  make as they hit puddles…
  2. I am OBSESSED with the Moomins (Moomintrolls) by Tove Jansson. I’ve finally found a publisher in Canada that is selling their books! And, well…the obsession is increasing exponentially. I bought the first novel (my favorite one – Comet in Moominland) and well…cannot decide whether to read it or not. When you collect books, do you buy two copies? I want to…one for reading and one to keep. Is that being ridiculous? To make things worse… I am limiting myself to reading one page a day so the book can last me as long as possible!
  3. I collect books…lots and lots of them: Dr. Seuss, Robert Munsch, Moomins (EVERYTHING), Little Miss and Mr. Men, Winnie the Pooh classics, Paddington Bear classics, DK Eyewitness books… 
What do you collect? Do you think you have weird quirks? 
ps* i also can’t go to a bookstore with my credit card…only cash. Otherwise…oh dear.

`I can’t wait to grow up…

and become  a teacher!!!

I made visuals (visual aid) for my presentation on Friday with the Silhouette SD today and WOW ! It was fast (no cutting!), turned out very professional and FUN! 

I can’t wait until I’m a teacher and have my own classroom to decorate!
(although…on the skytrain today, I did realize how much I want to wear fancy/business-y clothes with kitten heels or flats and work downtown! That is ALSO a dream…hm) 

ps* I’m getting a sticker maker tomorrow too! Which meansssss!!! I can make stickers!!!!!

`learn something you love!

For the second time in my life, I am learning something I LOVE! 
It’s a fantastic and inspiring process! You must do it too! 

Below are my experiences with discovering something I love:  

My first year of university was very dull – I was forced to take courses I didn’t care about and had to memorize fact after fact….(ughh). Second year got better, and now THIRD! I get to choose what I want to study! & for those of you who don’t know,  I’ve decided on a Major in Biological Science, with a concentration in Ecology and Evolution. (I’m interested in the conservation side too!)
Anyways,  yesterday as I sat in class, I realized how much I enjoy working with children and learning how they learn and being able to teach them. Trust me, the course runs from 9 – 4pm every day…and when you need to wake up at 6:00am to get ready, being excited to go to school helps you get out of bed!

Anyways,
